Does my child have to stay the whole two weeks?
Campers have the option to try TCDC for one week of the standard 2 week camp session for $600.

Do campers need to come knowing how to swim?
No, we can teach anyone how to swim and show everyone how to improve their swimming.

Can I come visit my daughter or son?
There is no visitation during the 2 week camp session. Parents and friends are encouraged to send letters!

How many sleep in a cabin?
Each cabin holds 9 kids and 3 adults: a senior counselor, a junior counselor, and a medical counselor.

Can the kids choose activities?
Activities are assigned, and campers do them with others their own age.

What is the camper to counselor ratio?
At activities, it’s 4 campers to every counselor.

Can the kitchen staff safely handle campers with celiac disease?
Yes, the staff is well versed about cross contact issues. Their food is prepared in a separate section of the kitchen, and specific utensils are provided to campers.

What is the address for sending mail? Can I send food?
For sending mail to the camp staff before camp begins, use 1854 Joseph Terrace Hixson, TN 37343. During the camp session to mail things to campers, you should use 2622 Lee Pike Soddy Daisy, TN 37379. You may send only sugar free products.

I have a specific question for the medical staff. Can I communicate with them directly?

How old do counselors need to be?
Counselors need to be at least 16 years old. You can download the application here. Those are due back to camp leadership by March 1.
